There are two focuses of ecoFilms. 1. Is to get the message out on various topics related to the environment that are currently captured in documentaries. We will do this by hosting monthly screenings and discussion panels; resource centre for anyone to get a hold of our resources and host a screening themselves in their homes, offices or schools! 2. We hope to capture the imagination and passion of local film producers and directors to make more features and short films related to the environment.
Environmental Youth Council:
The first one to be set up is based in Lahore, and comprises of representatives from the top private high schools in Lahore. The platform is straight forward, the group meets once a month, invites speakers to attend and present on various topics related to the environment, and then they go back to their schools and implement projects in their school. By engaging this network, the passionate youth can now have a voice on the issues that matter, and they get to connect to important change makers on environmental issues.
